Ease of Use:

While not quite as easy to use as Registry Mechanic, Registry Fix is relatively easy to use except for the fact that setup for some of the options that if offers can be a bit confusing to novice computer users. 

Effectiveness:

Overall, Registy Fix is a very solid and thorough registry cleaner.  It does a very good, if not great job of finding errors within your system's registry falling behind only Registry Mechanic in terms of raw numbers of errors and most of the time, the problems that it did not find were only minor in significance. 

Registry Fix does boast an impressive feature set as well, with the abiltiy to perform deep scans and optimization at the top of the list.  Compared to most other registry cleaners it is a fully capable registry cleaner, although we would liked to have seen compacting and registry mointoring incorporated into the software.

In terms of system performance, again Registry Fix does an honorable job of decreasing system boot time and application startup times but those time deductions aren't as drastic as what Registry Mechanic is capable of.

Support:

One of my favorite features that you are starting to see now with some registry cleaners is the ability to contact technical support via a live, web based chat and Registry Fix does offer that option.  On the flipside however, many times some of the more basic questions can be answered simply by being able to browse through an FAQ section or knowledgebase and that option is not offered for Registry Fix.

Conclusion:

Registry Fix is no doubt a top of the line registry cleaner.  It is feature packed and does an excellent job of finding and repairing most registry errors and increasing your system's peformance.   It consistently outperformed every other software on the market with one exception - Registry Mechanic.

If not for Registry Mechanic which was slighty more effective in terms of overall error detection and repair and includes a registry monitor, we would not think twice about giving Registry Fix our top recommendation for the best registry cleaner.
